My name is Safran Yoshinaga. I was born into a family of traders at the vegetable market in central Osaka and now live in Tokyo.
I’m interested in exploring the mistakes and improvisation that take place between conception and completion—progress and process.
Through my work as a cook and a craftsperson, I aim to celebrate and embrace these concepts, looking beyond the finished product to the interaction that occurs between the maker and the object.
